Imported Excel Tables Cause Error

I have just received a new computer and now I can't Access
to queries to run if I link them to a table I created in
excel and then imported into Access. I get the following
error: "ODBC--Connection to FDYP failed." (FDYP is the
database name). As long as I don't link a table imported
from excel, the queries run fine. Has anyone else
experienced this?
