My entourage was constantly crashing. So I created a new Identity and exported all my folders to MBOX files. But now that it is all imported my Database file did not change sizes. My question is are these folders going to be incorperated in the database file so they can be backed up?

The database will be left with 'wasted' space in it every time you delete
something. However, this is not all bad, since the wasted space is used up
with new data as it is added. This way, over a period of time (assuming that
you are deleting stuff as you go) the database will probably reach an
optimum size, after which the stuff you delete is roughly equal to the stuff
you add, and no further growth takes place.

If you drive is so full you feel the need to reduce the space, then you need
to look at moving other files off to free up space. You need a minimum of
10% free space.

I'm not sure I get the question. MBOX files can be backed up, but they would
not be included in an Identity folder backup.

MBOX files are duplicates.

The only way I could get my folders to transfer from my corrupted Identity to a new one was to export to MBOX and import to the new identity. But now those folders are not being added to the Database file so all my email is not consolidated to the one database file.

It's still unclear. Were you able to import the MBOX files? If yes, then why
are you saying those folders are not added?

See these movies for dealing with MBOX and .rge files.

In my experience, after importing the mbox files, they appear as folders
under On My Computer. To place them in your Identity, you must then Move the
e-mails (Select All, Move) to the folder from your exchange server.
