Imported rules set has increased spam

Rather than go through the trouble to set up a bunch of rules, I simply
imorted a set which had been exported by a co-worker who has been building
them for a while. After the import (I previously had no rules set up and spam
protection at low) I seem to be recieving more emails than ever. Was this a
bad idea? What could have caused this? Has anyone else seen this?

Thanks for your replies

Perhaps no one can think of a good reason for your symptoms. Have you tried
using the /cleanrules switch and reimported the rules?

Certainly the blasted frustrating part about it is that there doesn't seem to
be any good explaination. I was hoping someone else might have seen it
before? Or perhaps have done an export and import and not had problems? I
wonder if it's an interation with the exchange server of some sort?

Well, thank you all who have read and thought on it. Some things man was not
meant to know.
