Imported Tabs Begone - help

Word X for Mac

Is there concise procedure for getting rid of those pesky tabs when I import
text from some other document or text off the web?

If I select the entire document, the tabs in the header area disappear - so
I can't globally yank the tabs (which are still there) out.

Thanks.

Hi Eden:

Yeah - Edit>Clear>Formatting.

Or did you want to get rid of the tab characters themselves? That's
Find>Replace. Select the area you are interested in, then Find ^t (must be
a lower-case 't') and replace it with nothing. Say "no" when prompted
whether you want to do the rest of the document.

Sometimes you have to replace with a space instead of nothing or things fall
onto each other.

Cheers
