importing 2003 contacts into 2002

I backed up my contacts list from Outlook 2003. When I
try to read the PST file in Outlook 2002, it can't open
it (version incompatability). Is there a way to convert
the 2003 outlook PST to 2002. I no longer have access to
Outlook 2003 (lost my job).

Thanks

No. You will not be able to recover the contacts until you have access to
Outlook 2003. You can get a trial copy from Microsoft.

If I install the trial copy will it wipe out my 2002?
Can they coexist completely independently?

thanks in advance,

No, you cannot have two different versions of Outlook running on the same
machine. Installing a different version does not wipe out your data files,
though.
