Importing a different identity

E

Elan

I recently upraded from Outlook Express to Outlook 2003. Since there are no
longer the identities options and now that I have to create profiles, I have
the following problem.

The first Profile is the default profile, which I proceeded to import all my
emails from and that worked fine.

I now create a new profile called Test and then close and repoen Outlook and
select the profile test to go into.

So far so good.

Now how do I import a different Outlook Identity folders Emails into test.
There does not seem to be anywhere to specify where to import from. When I do
import, it imports the same emails that are in my default profile.

Do I have to copy the dbx files from my previous test profile somewher so
that the import will see tham and not the original ones.

Try exporting from Outlook Express instead. Start Outlook with the Test
profile, start Outlook Express in the Identity you want, then do
'File|Export|Messages'; I believe they should go to the active Outlook
profile.
