Importing a excel file into excel. having problems

Guys, i have a ms project file, when i import the table from Excel i
only get the columns with the headings , i dont get any of the text
between that is in each row and also it has the spaces for the text in
each row, but no text shows.

what do you suggest i try to do, this would be helpful to save time on
adding this into my ms project file.

Or are there any converters that would be useful.
