Importing a Music File

I've been trying for the longest time to import a music file and allow
Powerpoint to show the lyrics, which would require changing the slides while
the file is running. I've tried to insert the song, but it won't play. I
converted my *.mp3 to *.wav for such a purpose, but without success.

I tried going to Insert, Movies and Sounds, Sound From File... I browse for
the file and am given an icon on the desktop, but when I try to run the slide
show, the file won't play. I've also tried to insert by right clicking on the
text block and choosing Action Settings and under the Mouse Click tab, choose
Play Sound. I browse for the file and it will preview the song, but won't
play it.

I'm at a complete loss. Does anyone know how I might accomplish this? I'd
really appreciate it.

Create a folder, move the ppt and music to the folder.
Re-insert the music and see if it works.

Alternately, if you are using wav,
check this out on how you can embed wav file:
"Sounds/Movies don't play, images disappear or links break when I move or
email a presentation"

Thanks. I'll try it as soon as I can. Right now I'm re-installing windows
after putting in a new motherboard. Headaches for the last three days. I'll
report back after I try. Thanks again.
