Importing a new distribution list into existing setup

I am a refugee from the excel forum so be kind.I have an existing outlook
setup outllook 2003,teachers edition.Having just been made the secretary of a
club i want to import the email list preferably to a new seperate contacts
folder.I have tried to import a .pst file but no luck.I followed the import
/export help but nothing happened and doesnt seem to give me the option of
where to import the new list to

Open the .pst file with the FIle | Open | Outlook Data File command.

Display the Folder List navigation pane.

Select the folder that contains the contacts you want to import.

Select all the contacts in that folder.

Ctrl+Drag them all to the folder you want to import into.
