Importing a PowerPoint Presentation into a Publisher Web Site

David O

I produced my Web site with Publisher 2003. I have PowerPoint 2003 Presentation that I want to have on one page of the site. I have tried importing it and the presentation works fine when it is on my computor. When I publish it to the Web, it will not play the music and sometimes it won't be the same as when I presented it. I have imported in in .ppt and also in .mht format. In mht I cannot get it to do the slide show at all even on the computor before it is published
Where can I get the specific instructions to do this
Thank
David

With a web publication you don't import anything.

The publisher web site is not a single entity.
An online slide show is not a single entity either.
In a web site you link web pages.
You link files.

In PowerPoint save the presentation as a web site. Refer to PP Help if you
need details. Don't name it index.htm so that it doesn't interfere with the
Publisher web.

When PP creates the web site of the presentation it will create the htm
files and all supporting files (just like Pub does).
Upload the presentation web to the web server. Note the home page file name
so you can link to it.

In Publisher pick a page and make a link and hyperlink it to the home page
of the PP web.

Save the Pub as a web and upload it.

Clicking the link on the pub web page takes you to the PP web page which
then runs the show (the online version of a show).
