Importing a Windows Movie Maker file into PowerPoint

I have a video file that I had to edit in Windows Movie Maker version 6. (I
had to rotate the video 90 degrees). It will only allow me to save the video
as a Windows Media MAker Project. When I try to import this into PowerPOint
2007 I recieve the error message: PowerPoint cannot insert a movie from the
selected file. verify the path and file.... The original file (the version
that isn't rotated in windows movie maker) is a .avi.
Is there any way I can import the Windows Media Maker file into Powerpont?
Or, is there another way that I can rotate the video in a format that is
compatible with PowerPoint? Any help or input would be appreciated.

As well as "Save project" there should be an option to "Save Movie File"
(ctrl P)

In Movie Maker select Publish Movie and then select to play on hard drive.
This will make a media player WMV file this file will work fine in PowerPoint.

Sorry, I mised the clue that you are using Vista! Instead of "Save movie" use
"Publish > This Computer"
