Importing Act Contacts

I am having trouble importing Act! contacts into Outlook
2003. It starts to import then stalls and doesn't go any
further.
I have tried to save the database and then import but it
doesn't work. I also tried to import from a zip disk but
that doesn't work either.
Please advise what steps I need to take to correct this.

What format does Act! support for export? If a .csv or .txt format, it is
easily imported into Outlook.

Could you describe by what you mean when you say "it stalls"? Do you get an
error message of any kind? Does the system hang? etc

All you need to do to retrieve contact info from Act is to export the
database into a CSV format and import that file into Outlook but be aware
you will not get all the associated contact info - you'll need a 3rd party
product to get info related to tasks etc. You should be able to find a
product that does that here
http://www.slipstick.com/addins/contact_management.htm or alternatively
search Google for "Act to Outlook" and one of those products should do
exactly what you want.
