Book’ into Entourage?

Hi Rudolf!

You can do this a few ways.

If you want to do just a few contacts you can simply drag each one from
Address Book to your Desktop. Then drag those into the Address Book in
Entourage.

If you want to do everything the easiest method is to sync. Go to the
Entourage menu --> Preferences... --> General Preferences --> Sync
Services and enable syncing for the Address Book. Follow the prompts to
replace everything in Entourage, replace everything in Address Book or
merge data.

Hope this helps!

Can somebody tell me how to import my Outlook for PC address book and calendar into Mac Entourage?

If you use an Exchange account, simply make sure that all of the data is on
the Exchange Server calendar and address book. Then, in Entourage,
configure your Exchange account in Tools > Accounts, and wait for your
calendar events and contacts to import. Once that's finished, you can drag
them to the local ("On My Computer") calendar and address book to save them
locally.

If you don't have access to an Exchange Server, check out Paul Berkowitz's
"Export-Import Entourage" script package.

Contacts:

Entourage can import a .csv file. Just select the option in Outlook to
export as .csv or text file. In Entourage select the Import --> Contacts
from a text file --> tab delimited file and navigate to the .csv file.

I am able to import contacts from apple address book to entourage, but
have not been able to import groups. Is this possible to do?

Not really, at least not through SyncServices.
The Sync Entourage-Address Book 2 scripts from Paul Berkowitz can help
though,

I cannot beleive this isn't seamless...I have spent hours trying to get my Outlook Express Address book into my mac Entourage...nothing works...I am so fed up with programmers who can;t recall what it is like not to know everything there is and who constantly skips steps they think are elementary....some of us need the basics...like what the hell is the difference bewteen a contact and an address?? Are they different? Why do I need a vCard? Why can't I just copy the address book and import it? Grrrrrr!! I would love a SIMPLE step by step from OUTLOOK on my PC to my MAC with OSX

First, please keep in mind that these newsgroups are peer-to-peer. There
isn't much we can do. The best way is to send feedback to Microsoft .

When working in Office, you can use the ³Send Feedback² option under the
Help menu in all of the Office applications.
