Importing Amended Data

I'm new to Access, and testing the trial version to see if any use for my
company.
I can see how to create databases, but I need to identify a way for my
external sales staff to update data. We do not use Outlook, so this is NG
and investing in a Sharepoint server does not appear to be an option either.
I can see how to export data, and how to import and 'append', but not how to
import and 'amend' exisiting records.
Any assistance or advice would be appreciated. Would Access 2007 Runtime be
an option?
Thanks...

Chalky,

You could set up a server with Terminal Server, which would allow remote
users to logon through the internet just as if they were logging on through
a LAN. A runtime wouldn't help you becuase it is just a method of running
Access databases without having the full version installed on a workstation.
It doesn't solve the issue of connecting to the same data source.

You say you see how to create databases, but I suggest that you have a
experienced developer that can create useful input screens for you,
otherwise, barring a miracle, the database won't be useful. I am telling
you this because you have come across as believing that you can simply
create the database, possibly a template and think it will be useful, or you
can make some tables and forms using the wizards and have a functional
database. It isn't that easy. It could work if you were the only user, but
when you have multi-users, a simple database likely won't do the job.
Microsoft makes it appear to be easy, and it is, but not necessarily
functional.

God Bless,
