Importing an Excel file

The help feature says to switch to the datasheet, then on
the Edit menu, click Import File. There is no "Import
File" on the edit menu - can't go any futher with the
instructions. Anybody else have this problem? I'm using
version 2000.

Any help would be appreciated. Thanks!

Same version here and I'm getting Import File on the Edit menu.

The chart itself must be activated and the datasheet visible. If you click
anything outside the chart or datasheet, it'll deactivate the chart and the
menus will return to the normal PPT ones. Import File will only appear
while the chart's activated.
