Hello,
I am trying to create an application that will allow my users to enter
organizational data into an Access database and then view the
structure in Visio.
I have done some experimentation using the importing and exporting of
Org Charts as text files and have encountered some problems.
1. If I draw an Org Chart with a dotted-line report to indicate an
entity with multiple ownership and I then export that Chart to text,
the dotted-line relationships are lost. Anyone know why this is, and
how to prevent it (ie is it possible to represent dotted-line entities
in text)?
2. Assuming I can create the proper structured text file in Access (I
have the know-how to do this already) is it possible to bypass the Org
Chart wizard and just display the chart? Ideally I would like for the
user to be able to click a button within Access that would launch
Visio and display the results of what they have entered for a
corporate structure.
Any help would be greatly appreciated, I'm spinning my wheels here.
