importing approach database 9 files into Microsoft Access

hi,
I don't think so. i'm dragging up memories for about 5/6
years back but i tried to link access to approach and that
was a go no. i forget the exact problems i experienced but
i think the two are not compatible. I never did find a
work around. this was access 97 and approach 2k.
as i remember they both are suppose to be compatible with
dBase5. If you could somehow get the approach data in to a
excel sheet, you could upload that. but i know that excel
stopped supporting lotus after R5.
tough one.
good luck.

As far as I can remember, Approach can use various file formats
including Paradox (.db) and dBASE (.dbf). Access can import some
versions of these, so you may be able to import the Approach data
directly. If not, export from Approach into a common format such as text
(CSV) or dBASE IV (.dbf) and then import into Access.

There's no way of importing or converting the database functionality
(forms, reports, etc.) from Approach to Access.
