Importing Built-in User Fieds

Hi,

I can't seem to understand why when I import data from
Excel to Contacts folder using User1 and User2 fields
that numeric data is not imported on User2, while
alphanumeric data is not imported in User1. Both these
fields are text in my custom contact form.

Is this behaviour normal?
