importing contacts Outlook Express 6.0 >> Outlook 2002

Björn Van Poucke

Hello again,

My collegue uses Outlook Express 6.0 and has a big
database (4500 contacts) of our clients, all divided in
different groups.

I use Outlook 2002 SP2 and i want to import the whole
database, with the contacts divided in the different
groups.

What is the best method to do this? Do i use a pst file?
Or maybe a wab file? Please note that it is very
important that i have the contacts divided in the
different groups (or distribution lists).

Thx in advance, all the best

Outlook does not use groups. You cannot import groups from OE.

Hopefully, the members of each group already exist in your Outlook Express
Contacts Folder. If not get them in there (don't ask me how, I've never used
OE).
Then you can at least import all these Contacts into Outlook and then create
Distribution Lists in Outlook. Note that you can only import Contacts from
the default Outlook Express Contacts Folder into Outlook.
