Importing CSV files causes unwanted duplicates

When importing CSV files I get duplicate contacts in BCM even when I select
the "do not import duplicates" option, approx 1800 extra entries each time.

I export my customer : jobs list from Quickbooks by "printing" it to a CSV
file.
As the list changes I overwrite the CSV file.
Have been successfully re-importing it into Outlook 2000 without getting
duplicates, it simply re-writes the changed entries & leaves the rest alone.
What's the secret for getting BCM to do this?

* The main reason I'm trying BCM is that it has a right mouse click option
for contacts or accounts which allows you to create a new appointment.
Outlook 2000 has this, plus it auto-fills some useful data fields for the
appointment.
My current impression is that Outlook 2007 seems to have lost some of the
functionality of 2000, or could it be that I need more help in configuring it?
* The only reason I upgraded to Outlook 2007 is that 2000 is no longer
supported, I wanted some future assurance for my jobs scheduling calendar.
This in turn required a new faster computer & a whole crop of compatability
problems with the older systems on the network.
There was an old woman who swallowed a fly...
