I have defined custom fields (i.e. text, outline with lookup values, etc.)
to my Global.MPT.
When using the New toolbar icon, my custom fields (with lookup values) from
the Global.MPT are copied into a new project file. However, when selecting
"As a New Project" option from the Import Wizard, I don't get them (but I
do get other template items)? I have tried this in MS Project 2000, 2002,
and 2003 and get the same result.
Normally, this is not issue, but since I have defined lookup values in my
custom Outline field, I get errors during the Import because this field is
not defined. Does anyone know how to properly map and import custom Outline
fields with data into a new project file that is created using the Import
wizard without getting errors? The only workaround I have found is not
select a new project from the Import wizard but append it to a project file
that I have created prior to importing.
