Importing Data Errors

When I try to import data from an Excel sheet I get two
error tables created; "PAC$_ImportErrors"
and "DATA_1_ImportErrors". The first name represents the
project name, but it is not the name of either files
involved. Both contain error messages that resemble the
following:

Error: "Type Conversion Failure" Field:"F9" Row:"1"

I have no idea what or which F9 & 1 are talking about, the
excel table or the access table. Any other time this
happens, it will give me the names of the fields that
match my tables, please Help
