importing data from a CSV to an existing table

The date field data is not importing. The data type in
the table is "Date/Time" and when I import I specify the
data type as "Date/Time" in the appropriate fields of the
CSV file and it still does not work. Please help.

When importing change the field type to "Text" then run a
query with the function datevalue() to convert to date
