Importing Data from an ODBC source (error -1104)

I'm trying to import some tables from an ODBC data source
(the data is in a SQL database). I can get to the point
where i've chosen the database to import but when I try to
complete the process I get the following error message:

Reserve error (-1044); there is no message for this error).

any ideas?
