Importing data from Word

I need to import a Word document and create a report from
it. I do not need to report bound to anything, I just
need it to have the same text as a word document. I am
trying to do this with out retyping the Word document
into text boxes on a report. Opening the Word document
from the database unfortunately is not an option.

Hum, nothing I can think of. Just a regular cut and paste in desing mode is
about all you will get.

And, while you mention launching word is not an option, you might grab a
copy of my access to word merge. It may very well change you mind, and you
may actually windup keeping the documents in word format. Check out:

Hum, are you talking about just text, or some table data?

In reading this again, it sounds like you have some table data in word. You
might try pasting it into excel, and then from there , you can get it into
access.
