Hello,
I had to reformat a computer's hard drive. I did not want
to loose the Outlook Express v5 (OE5) messages, so I saved
all the .dbx's onto CD. I then reinstalled windows 98
that came with OE v4.7. I could not find anywhere to
download v5, so I downloaded IE6 from MicroSoft (MS)
website. IE6 comes with OE6. Once I tried to put
the .DBX files into the folder that OE6 was using, OE6
screwed up and it would no longer work on my machine. So,
I then tried to import the files into Outlook 2002
(OL2002) and got the error that the program that I was
importing from was still running.
Any ideas on how I could read these .dbx files either in
OL2002 or in OE6 (if I ever get it running again), or
better still, how can I download OE5 now that I am using
IE 6?
-Thanks
