Importing documents that are searchable

Im taking my CPA review course and I printed a searchable PDF lecture notes
to the Mircosoft Office Document center in hope that I can import it into
OneNote ( the help section says I could) but I had no luck. From the
Mocrosoft Office doument I saved it as a .tiff file and OCRd it. Then I was
able to import the document perfectly except its not searchable. Can anyone
help with how to import a PDF into OneNote and have it searchable?

Thanks

I would definitely not use this method.
You should rely upon Desktop search programs to "Index and Search"
documents.
Try google desktop search.

At the moment you can't import any document into OneNote and make it
searchable. OneNote 12 will offer OCR of anything imported into
OneNote, but you will have to wait for its release next year.
