Importing events from Excel, Please help

I have an Excel file with names of ships, dates and ports of arrival

How can I import these into Outlook, so that on each date outlook will show
the "Port" and the name of the Ship.

I converted the file to CSV, but the import function does not recognize the
dates.

Any help will be greatly appreciated.

I'd map the Port field to Location and the Ship name to Subject, but you
might reverse that.

There is no need for the extra step of exporting to .csv. You do, however,
need to set a named range in the Excel worksheet to cover all the data you
want to import.

Thank you so much for your help.

When I try to map it, the date field shows as F1 , instead of the
first date in the field. And after importing, nothing shows in the
calendar.

any suggestion?

Did you include the header row from your spreadsheet in the named range?
That makes the mapping process much easier.

On the Outlook side, you should see a choice of Start Date, End Date, and
Reminder Date. Which are you using as the target?
