Importing Excel Data

Simple question: When importing Excel data using Access 2002 there is an
Advance (or something like that) button . If you click this button you get a
window with options for including/excluding fields, setting data types, etc.
With Access 2003 I don’t see a similar button. I only see one window that
would allow me to set these options, but the only field name it displays is
the first field name (even if I click on the other fields) and there is no
pull down menu. So it looks as though I would have to type each field name.
Am I missing something?

Yep.
Those features are for Text files not Excel files.

However a .csv file can be treated as either Text or Excel.
So try importing as Text and those features should "appear".
