Importing Excel database into Outlook Contacts

Mark Silver

My Outlook Contacts Import/ Export feature works, but only for importing a limited amount of entries
I have 450 entries to import from Excel, but Outlook has only been able to import 269 entries
Can anyone shed light on this issue? How can I import all the entries I need without limitation
Thank you.

Hi Sue, thanks for jumping in
I think it does, but how would I know that
I have Last Name, First Name, Address, Home phone, Business Phone, E-mail address, etc.. etc... all columns as the database format establishes as default. I eliminated the columns I did not have use for and at some point in the past I was able to import the whole file. Now, for some strange reason, I can't. the proccess of importing the file guides me step by step till the moment of clicking "finish" for the job. Outlook then, only brings into the Contact folder, the 269 entries
Don't know whatelse to tell you
Thanks.

How would you know what? The newsgroup interface you are using apparently
does not quote earlier messages in the thread, making your latest message so
short on detail that I don't know what your question refers to . Please take
the time to quote the original message.

Select the cells you want to include in the range, then choose Insert | Name
| Define.
