Importing EXCEL files into ACCESS

I am trying to import an EXCEL file into ACCESS and there
is no option for EXCEL files on the import file dialog
screen. DO I need a driver and if so where can I obtain it?

File|Get External Data|Import...

In the list of file extensions at the bottom, open the list and scroll to Excel (.xls).
