Importing EXCEL to ACCESS

Excel import problem, e.g user fills out
spreadsheet RAW data, import into access to produce
reports. I am getting an import error
which causes the whole import to fail & the error message
is always "Field F21 does not exist in table" when
importing spreadsheet to a pre-defined Access table.

When checking the spreadsheet F21 was empty! Most weird.
A workaround is to manually cut & paste the whole
spreadsheet back onto itself, I suppose changing some
unknown formatting.

This happens in Office 2000 & XP.
Has anyone had the same problem?

Rather common problem.
Cutting and pasting the "rectagular" data to a new sheet is a common
solution.

The original sheet may have been created differently and Access thinks some
data should be where it no longer is.
e.g. F21.
