Importing existing charts into newly created .XLS files

MODERATOR: Before I get started with the question, I just want to say that
I'm reposting this after it disappeared about 20 minutes ago. I'm brand new
to this forum. If there is some moderator lurking around here (OMG why?),
PLEEEASE at least send me an email and tell me where you moved my post to or
what I did wrong. BETTER YET, please keep this post here and reply to it
with your comments. I have the notify-reply-email option turned on, so I
will get your message quickly. I believe this is in the correct category
because I need advice from Excel charting experts. This is a very important
question to myself and my company.

MAIN QUESTION:

One department in our company has several pre-existing .XLS files with many
charts. The users are tired of updating and making mistakes in Excel, so
they want the entire application converted to our VB.NET environment. Our
MIS shop creates all reports in CSV format (comma delimited text file that
opens with Excel). The existing charts are extremely important to this
department since they are printed and posted all over the company.

My manager thinks the users can create their own charts, but they do not
know how since the non-MIS person who created these spreadsheets has left the
company.

If we convert to our standard VB.NET windows and databases, with
buttons/options to produce many different CSV exports, carefully created with
the same rows and columns as the original spreadsheets, IS THERE A WAY THAT
THE USERS CAN EASILY IMPORT THE PRE-EXISTING CHARTS into each freshly created
CSV-SAVED AS-XLS file?

Firstly there is no moderator, and this is not a forum. This is a usenet
newsgroup, and your previous message did get through.

If you access via a news server you can find it at

If you want to look at Google's archive of the group (including your
messages), look at:
http://groups.google.com/group/microsoft.public.excel.charting

If you want advice on accessing newsgroups, try:
http://www.cpearson.com/excel/HintsAndTipsForNewsgroupUsers.aspx

You appear to be accessing the newsgroup via Microsoft's web interface, and
many of those giving advice here would advise against using that interface
because of its unreliability.
