Importing / Exporting Information

Hi There

I am using MS Project 2000 and MS Office 2000, however, we are not using project server in my company. I am wondering how I can export tasks in MS Project to Outlook Task bar. There is an import export feature and my team is bombarded by e-mail that I would like to reduce if I can (e.g. if they can be instructed with an automatic rule for processing particular types of messages in outlook and I can send in a particular format in MS project so that when opened in outlook it will automatically populate into MS Outlook as a task that would be great!) I am using the global corporate address book, and a common LAN directory, but can not seem to get this to work, I am using a laptop so may not have a full install, has anyone gotten this to work and if yes can you outline the steps as I am obviously missing something

Hi
To get project tasks in Outlook
- select the tasks required in MS Project (say a Gantt
view)
- Select View/ Toolbars/ Workgroup
- In Workgroup select the "Bell" icon and set the reminder
options
For the Workgroup option to be present I believe you need
to run Wgsetup on your copy of MS Project.
To view tasks across a workgroup in a MAPI compliant tool
like Outlook then you need to key the server name in the
Settings field for all in the workgroup.

Also, to track project work in the Outlook.Jurnal
- in outlook select Tools/Options/Preferences/Journal
options
In the Also record files list, select the Project check
box and click OK
