Importing extra fonts

I'm using a computer with Office 2000 "Standard" and it doesn't have the
range of fonts that my own '97" professional" has.
Is there a way that extra fonts can be imported.

Hi Graham -

No. 1 this is a group for Macintosh Word users & No. 2 it isn't actually a
Word issue None the less...

Fonts are an operating system matter regardless of platform. On the PC any
fonts you want to use need to be installed to the Windows Fonts folder,
which then makes them available to all programs. See Windows Help for more
info on installing fonts as it varies a little based on which version of
Windows & your personal setup.

Also, keep in mind that fonts are licensed just like other software, so
although you can physically copy them from one system to another it may not
always be 'legal' to do so. Some that are freely distributed in MS products
(past & present) can be downloaded from the MS web site, as well.
