Importing from .bcm file -- partial data loss: help!

I wanted to transfer my business contacts from one computer to a
replacement. Seemed like the easy way was to export from the original
into a .bcm file, then import same file onto the new computer.

This appeared to work fine, it seems that all contacts imported
properly. Phone numbers seem OK. But I just noticed that
approximately 60%+ of email addresses (and some home/business
addresses) are missing on the new computer BCM application.

Has anyone else experienced this? Would I be better off doing this
over exporting/importing with a .csv file?

Well, to answer my own question: importing from .csv requires you to
manually map fields, but I now appear to have 100% data transfer.
Would still love to see a fix for transferring notes and phone logs
though.

Hi,
Currently BCM does not support importing the history items (notes and phone
logs) alongwith the accounts and Business Contacts. However, this is in the
wish-list for future versions of BCM.

BCM files support the same fields as CSV and more, but the email
addresses are a little tricky.

Create a Contact in BCM with all email fields and export it to a bcm
file, then open the file in notepad to see how the email elements are
laid out.
