Importing from Corel Ventura Publisher

Does anyone know of a way to open a Corel Ventura Publisher document in
Microsoft Publisher. Unfortunately due to computer crash and change of job I
no longer have access to Corel Ventura Publisher

Depending on the type of file, Ventura has all sorts of extensions. It may well be
you are out of luck. Have you tried "Recover text from any document" in files of
type?
What version Ventura?

You might get lucky by asking this in a Ventura newsgroup

Thanks for the suggestion but Ventura embeds codes for all formatting and it
takes hours to delete these if you just recover text. Of course you loose
all related graphics and formatting.
From memory it was Corel Ventura that came with Corel Draw 7. It no longer
comes with Corel Draw
