Importing from Eudora into Entourage

I've got a client using Mac OS X 10.2 (ouch!) and Eudora 6.2. After
installing Office 2004, I import her Eudora mailboxes into Entourage and at
least superficially it appears that all the messages have imported. (Some
14,000 of them!)

Unfortunately, many of her messages contain .pdf docs as attachments. Very
few of these attachments seem to have come along with the import. Those that
do appear, open only to a blank page when I try to open them in Entourage
(which invokes Preview.app.) They look ok in Eudora, however. If I save them
to the HD and try to open them in Preview, they still are blank.

So, two questions: what's happened to all the attachments that don't show up
at all; and why can't I view the ones that have copied over?

Any suggestions?

Attachments in Eudora are not stored with the mesasges in some sort of
container format, but in a separate Attachment folder. They indeed fail
to import in Entourage and I'm not sure there is much you could do about
it.

There might be some Import application out there that might facilitate
the work,
