Importing from Excel error

Hi, I am trying to import data from Excel XP to Access XP
But it is failing and I am getting the following error
*ActiveX component can't create object*
Cannot remember what I have installed / uninstalled that will caus
this problem.
I have uninstalled Office XP and run Office Clean and then reinstalle
Office XP, but the problem still exists
Has anyone come across this before, if you have, would be greatful i
you can post the answer.
