importing from excel into access

I am new to Access. Can someone tell me if it is possible
to set up an Access database that will allow me to import
data from an excel spreadsheet and update as new data
comes in. So far I've been able to import the data from
Excel but I am only allowed to overwrite data already in
the data base or append it to the end. I would like to
update the data base without losing any unchanged data or
having to manually enter the new data in.

You can use an update query to update values in your
Access tables based on imported or linked Excel data.
