Importing from mbox

P

Premo

Just prior to a harddrive crash (I saw it coming), I saved my contacts as text
and my sent messages as an mbox file. When I reloaded Entourage two
things happened: 1. for some reason, my email account is appearing as a
seperate folder, with different icons than the regular "Inbox" and messages
are split between the folders and 2. the sent messages in mbox only run
through 2002 (I had messages up until a week ago saved there.) Can
anyone help? Most important is recovering the last two years of saved
messages.

Thanks!

You need to explain yourself more clearly for us to understand and help.

1. In Entourage, accounts aren't folders and don't appear as folders in the
Folders list. If it's an IMAP or Exchange account, the account - with its
INBOX and other folders - does appear in the Folders list. POP accounts
don't appear there at all. Do you have an IMAP account or only POP?
2. Was the Sent Items folder you exported as mbox file a local folder "On My
Computer", or is it an IMAP or Exchange folder on the server?
3. What does "reloaded Entourage" mean? Relaunched? Or did you do something
with the mbox file to import it back in? What did you do?
