Importing from OE 6.0+ to OL2000

I cannot import any messages from my "Sent Items" folder
that were created after I upgraded to OE 6.0. In fact,
the Import wizard in OL 2000 does not even acknowledge
anything but OE 4.0 and 5.0 versions.

Open Outlook Express and export from Outlook Express into Outlook.

Open Outlook Express and export from Outlook Express into Outlook.

This is the best way, but since OE5 and OE6 use the same formats, importing
in Outlook from OE5 should also work, shoudn't it?

Yes, it should, Brian, but many have noted problems such as lost
messages when using Outlook's import compared to Outlook Express'
export.
