Importing from Project to Excel

I'm trying to import tasks from a Project 2000 file into
an Excel XP worksheet. I'm using Paste Link and entering
the data as text. However every time I try to Paste Link
I get nothing but #NA errors. Any suggestions on how to
get the actual data to link across from Project to Excel.
In need to have the excel spreadsheet automatically update
from the Project file every time the excel file is opened.

Hi,

Paste link won't work very well if you ad, remove or resort tasks in
Project. Paste linking is also notoriously unstable in that it's very easy
to corrupt the links and even the files if either of them is moved, renamed
or over-written.

Safest solution is some Macro code to read the tasks each time the Excel
file opens.
