importing hyperlinks from an excell spread sheat

Hello:

on one of the tables I am working on I imported data from an excel spread
sheet.
for some reason when I try to open the hyperlink from within access it does
not open and I
get the error message.
"Unable to open Http://Details. Cannot locate the Internet server or proxy
server.

I copied and pasted the hyperlinks from a website into excel.
and the hyperlinks work from within excel but not access.
the spread sheet has several rows and columns. one column
has all the hyperlinks. on the web site I copied the data from
the hyperlinks all say "Details"
