Importing Image Dialog Box

I am utilizing a database that imports jpgs according to the file name from
another field. This works great and keeps my database's file size to a bare
minimum, however, when moving through the records, with each record, I get an
"Importing Image" or "Importing Picture" dialog box and a progress meter.
Even though this flips through very quickly, it often locks up and I cannot
get it off my screen.

How can I eliminate this dialog box from occurring? It doesn't happen with
BMPs, just with jpgs.
