Importing Into BCM from ANY ACT version

I have been waiting patiently for BCM to fix the importing from ACT 2000 into
BCM 2007. Mainly the dates for the Notes & History items. All notes and
histories in ACT (8 years worth) all import into BCM with the date of import.
I have researched for months now and SP1 was supposed to address this but it
hadn't. Is anything on the horizon that could fix this??

I have seen these 3rd party "services" that say they can do it, but I am not
looking to pay tons of moolah for something I think should be an integral
part of the ACT to BCM importing. I would have imagined a lot of former ACT
users would have similar issues and would like their notes and histroies to
come over correctly with the original dates, but not too many people are
raising a stink about what I think is a key issue for a CRM software. ACT is
a failed franchise and I would like to move to BCM, but unless this issue is
correct I cannot justify the move.

Does anyone have any information on this notes & history issue. As I said I
have ACT 2000 and want to move to BCM 2007. Does a newer version of ACT (like
2006, 2007 or 2008) also have the issue of notes and histories importing into
BCm with the date of import?

Can someone please help?

I believe that import correctly imports items like DueDate,
MeetingStartTime, and so on. However, the CreatedOn and ModifiedOn
dates, which show by default in the history grid, are set by Outlook
to track when items were created in and modified in Outlook.

Yes, I understand the import of "Activity" type items like that do keep the
original dates from ACT.. But many people use the "Notes" and "history"
entries in ACT and when importing those items into BCM the original dates the
notes/histories were created get imported with only the date of the import.
They get imported into BCM as a "history" type of item but loose all the date
integrity (which is a big deal) when you have thousand's of notes and
correspondences through a 7 year period.

I am looking for help in getting those Notes & Histroy items into BCM with
the dates they were actually created. So far it looks like this is an
impossible feat.

That could be a bug, that ACT Notes aren't imported with their ACT
date into BCM.
