importing JPEG graphics (photos) into a field

I am using a database to organize collectables. I am not
finding an easy way to link JPEG graphics into a field
named "photo", which is a photograph of the work. I am
reading about a 'graphics filter' is necessary for JPEG
graphics in access and that it is not automatically loaded
when you do the setup. I have XP Professional and loaded
it again, but I am not understanding the process.
