Importing MS Proj 2000 into Project Server 2003

We're beginning to implement Proj Server 2003 and want to import existing MS
Proj 2000 project plans. Upon doing so, all dependencies that were defined
are removed as well as the task hierarchy (all tasks and sub tasks are now at
the same level. On top of that all duration estimates are now set to 1 day.

Has anyone run into this before? Can you help me sort this out?

Thanks!

To piggy-back on this question, I have implemented Project Server 2003 and
imported a Project Professional 2003 project into the server and upon import
it took away all the task hierarchy also. What is the cause of that and how
can I resolve that?

Thank you!

murthman,

What is the procedure you're using to import the plans. I've not seen this happen personally so I'm not sure what's really going on but I'd be glad to look at a specific project that's giving you problems.

If you want me to look at a file send it to me off the list. You'll have to decode my email address for it to reach me properly.

Earl,

Thanks for the offer of assistance. I discovered that if instead of
importing I copy and paste it works perfectly.

Thanks again!
