Importing my original office xp calender and email files

Bob

My system went down and I tried to reinstall winxp but to
no avail. So I bought a new hard drive and reinstalled
the winxp and later installed the office xp disk. Now I
want to import my old files but can not find them. Does
anyone know how to find the fles or are they lost?

It sounds like your files were on the old hard drive, so it depends on
whether that is still available.

Unless you have access to your old HDD or have a backup, then they are gone.
They are NOT part of windows, neither are they part of the office install.

I do have the old hard drive and alll files are intact. I
just need to know where they are and what the files are
called.

or similar)

Mike,
Thats seems to be the part I do not understand, I cant
find any *pst files on my hard drive. When I do a search
for any *pst files on my system (all drives including the
original which ran my system prior). Strange or what? If
I choose to export the existing files on my new hard
drive (in office xp pro) it says the files will be an pst
extention. Therefore I was looking for that extention to
import. Any suggestions?
