Importing objects crashing access

Hi - I hope that i am posting in the correct category here. if not, please
let me know which category would be better suited.

I have a database file which seems to be corrupted. Running some (not all)
reports/forms or creating a new report/form causes access to crash and close:
"Microsoft Office Access has encountered a problem and needs to close. We
are sorry for the inconvenience." I have tried the normal compact and repair
routine, which did not help at all. I am now trying to import all the
tables/forms/reports etc. from a new database file. the modules (such as
tables) which are not afflicted, import fine. however, just by clicking the
"Reports" tab in the import wizard, causes access to crash again - even
before clicking import or actually selecting any reports to import.

All other access databases are running fine. I am using Access 2003 SP2.

Thanks for any help!

You have a corrupt database. At times like this, nothing beats a good backup.
In fact make a complete backup of your database now and put it away for safe
keeping. I'm thinking that one or more of your reports is corrupted. If you
have a good backup of the database, you could import everything from the
current one except the reports then get the reports from the backup.

Tony Toews has an excellent web page on database corruption.

Allen Brown also has excellent info on corruption.

I have a white paper in a Word document named Fix Corrupt Access Database
